About Seth: "I am from a small farm town in central IL and was born with a rare genetic hand-malformation, Split-Hand/Split-Foot Malformation. My experiences growing up sparked my interest in medicine. I am now in medical school at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, with interests in genetics and cancer genomics; and plan on applying pediatric-medical genetics next year! I joined DAC Med to learn how to better advocate for others with disabilities in health professions, and to help be a voice for my community."

About Katie: "I'm an MD student at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and grew up in Charlotte, NC. Through my experiences as both a medical student and a patient with chronic illness, I've become passionate about improving accessibility and support for students and patients with disabilities. I'm excited to be part of DAC Med and work alongside others to create a more inclusive healthcare community."

About Jennifer: "I was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and I am currently an MD student at Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Being part of DAC Med is meaningful to me because I want to help create a community where people with disabilities feel understood, included, and able to thrive. Through this program, I hope to become a stronger advocate and help foster a more compassionate and inclusive environment."

About Milina: "I was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs and am now a medical student at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. My passion for medicine and disability advocacy began with my younger brother's journey navigating developmental disabilities, which showed me the importance of accessible, compassionate healthcare. Through DAC Med, I am able to advocate for more inclusive medical education and help prepare future physicians to provide better care for patients with disabilities."

About Dr. Horvath: "Dr. Horvath is Director of Pacific Disabilities Center at the John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawaii at Manoa. As a person with a mobility disability and who identifies as neurodivergent, she works to educate others on disabilities and to provide support to those with disabilities."

About Archana: "Hello, I’m Archana! I’m a 3rd year medical student at Kansas City University with a passion for neuroscience, patient advocacy, and lifelong learning. Originally from Southern California, I earned my B.S. in Molecular Biology from UCLA and enjoy exploring new places, trying new cafes, hiking, and spending time with family and friends outside of medicine."
